Experiments conducted by Rob Nelissen and Marijn Meijers of Tilburg University in Netherlands proved that designer clothes with famous labels can make a huge impression on people.
The experiment was quite simple: the same man gave an interview twice: once wearing regular clothes and then with designer clothes. Two groups watched the identical videos (only one had designer clothes) and were asked to evaluate the man. The group that saw the man wearing designer clothes awarded him more points and found him better suited to the job!
